A model of Cheop’s boat, 1/20 actual size, built by Ahmed Youssef, a master restorer for Egyptian Antiquities Organization, who has devoted more than two decades of his life to the boat. In the bow is a carved papyrus standard, a symbol of Southern Egypt. The oars are shaped like spears. The two in the stern were used as rudders. The cabin was for King Cheops. The small shelter in the bow was for the captain of the boat.
