The Capernaum Synagogue: Most beautiful and well-known ancient synagogue in Israel. The plan of this building, dated by different experts between third and fifth century, is similar to the Gamla building. The Capernaum synagogue, and others like it in the Galilee and Golan, give some support to the identification of the Gamla building as a synagogue.
