A sunken open courtyard leads to the catacombs of Vigna Randanini. The series of arches in the brick wall on the right once held sarcophagi. Only one sarcophagus remains intact. Its end and fragments of two other sarcophagi can be seen. At the far end of the courtyard is part of a doorway; to its left (not shown here) is the entrance to the catacombs. The courtyard is enclosed by a plain brick wall.
