This ancient skeleton of a Rose of Jericho was recovered in an archaeological excavation of Kuntillet Ajrud, an Israelite outpost and religious center in northern Sinai. Dr. Ze’ev Meshel discovered the plant skeleton under a meter-deep layer of 8th century B.C. debris.
