The Nubian Ibex, a nimble-footed goat which makes startling vertical leaps up sheer cliff walls, is native to the shores of the Dead Sea. In the past these animals suffered population depletion due to habitat destruction, hunting and other pressures. Now thousands roam throughout the Negev and Judean desert.
