Nahshon Sneh
The prominent mound of Kadesh-Barnea rises from the floor of the Wadi el-Ein (Valley of the Spring). The wadi’s name reflects the nearby presence of the most abundant spring in northern Sinai, a spring which supports the bedouins’ lush orchards and field crops and explains, in part, the repeated settlement and fortification of this site.
