Nahshon Sneh
A puzzling round structure made from mud-brick and surrounded by low walls was found on the edge of a paved area in the uppermost fortress. The 4.5-foot-diameter interior of the well-preserved installation was filled with ashes; nearby the archaeologists found an incense burner and animal bones. Although the precise function of the round structure is uncertain, it may have been part of a cult center.
