The Street of the Jews in Jerusalem’s Old City runs parallel to and above the ancient street known as the Cardo. The arcade on the right, part of the Cardo renovation and restoration project, covers the excavated portion of the Cardo. Passersby may look down upon the Cardo from above or may descend by steps to walk along portions of the ancient pavement.
