An isometric reconstruction of the Middle Bronze city gate at Dan.

The face of each tower is approximately 16.5 feet wide, the same width as the center arched section. The entire width of the gateway is thus 50 feet. The center arched section is recessed 5.5 feet from the face of the adjoining towers. The arch spans almost 8 feet. The gateway complex is preserved to a height of approximately 20 feet, including 17 courses of mudbrick above the arch. This is probably quite close to its original height.
