Two Western Semites are depicted in this Twelfth Dynasty (about 1890 B.C.) wall painting from Beni Hasan, Egypt. The ethnic origin of the men is indicated by their clothes, beards and physical appearance. The two animals are a gazelle (left) and an ibex.
