Bronze daggers were among the wealth of grave goods found in 14th century B.C. tombs in Israel, near Akko. The hilt of the longer dagger is 6.3 inches (16 cm) long; the blade measures 9 inches (23 cm). The finely-detailed hilt and incised blade of each dagger were cast as one piece. The hilts originally framed inlays, remains of which were found in both daggers but are not present in this photograph.
