Ancient farm unit still in use today. This farm in the Nahal Gilo, indicated by arrows, is one of hundreds scattered around Jerusalem. Still under cultivation, the terraced fields grow grape vines, fig trees and some olive trees. In the wadi bed in the right of the photo, the ancient walls of a water course for surplus rain water are visible.
