Statue of Astarte: This life-size goddess of fertility holding her breasts is the largest Astarte statue ever found. It was discovered with the Ammonite king pictured on the cover and also dates to the ninth century B.C. Astarte was worshipped by many people of the ancient Near East, including Canaanites, Moabites, Edomites and Ammonites.
