Two fragmentary tuyeres, or hollow clay nozzles through which blasts of air entered a Late Bronze Age furnace, flank a crucible fragment. Industrial debris like this found at Bamboula on Cyprus is often discovered during the course of an excavation; it is evidence that some metallurgical operation was conducted at the site, probably involving the melting and casting of copper or bronze.
