From the roof of our Jerusalem “home,” the Sisters of Zion Convent in the Moslem quarter of the Old City, we could see the Dome of the Rock (center) and an imposing minaret (right). One of the most familiar sounds of the city—the Moslem call to prayer—is broadcast five times each day from this minaret.
