Queen Agrippina II of Rome (10–59 A.D.). Jews enjoyed royal favor under Queen Agrippina, wife of Emperor Claudius and mother of Nero. During the riots between the Samaritans and the Jews in 52 A.D., Agrippina interceded on their behalf. Her good relations with the Jewish community might explain why she freed Theodotus.
