Ramesses, Pharaoh of Egypt (c. 1290 B.C.–1223 B.C.), restored. Staff members at the Museum of Man in Paris restored Ramesses’s wrappings with linen thread, plugged many of the cracks in the resin layers, and repaired his cedar of Lebanon casket. A shroud of royal linen of the 19th dynasty (c. 1307 B.C.–1196 B.C.) covers him.
