Recently, in the laboratories of the Israel Museum, the fragile silver amulet was painstakingly unrolled to its full length of 3.82 inches; it is seen unrolled between two layers of glass in the author’s hands. When the amulet was opened the four characters of the Divine Name, yod-he-waw-he, could be read in a prayer-like context. The remainder of the inscription is still being deciphered.
