Presumed entrance to cave. After a day chipping away at the soft limestone covering this vertical rock-face, Blaser’s excavation team found not an entrance to a cave but solid rock, of the same composition as the overhang rock. The horizontal crack between the vertical rock-face and the overhang rock was not a “partial opening” to a cave, but simply a natural geologic feature.
