Israelite well at Arad as it appeared in the spring of 1983. The well’s stone walls, intact after almost 3,000 years, are today exposed to a depth of 52 1/2 feet. Thanks to Morris Rodman’s recent gift, archaeologists’ hopes are high that they will be able to continue digging until they reach the well’s original floor.
