Hall of Pillars at Hammat Gader, viewed through the colonnade screen. Comfortably warm mineral water relaxed the bather in this first pool of the seven at Hammat Gader.

The 24-foot-high colonnade was probably erected as part of a repair and improvement program undertaken by the people of Hammat Gader after 363 A.D., when an earthquake devastated their town.
