The opening into the MB I shaft tomb chambers looks like a small vertical doorway. A 1968 photograph of the late American archaeologist Nelson Glueck in a shaft at Jebel Qa’aqir demonstrates the small size of this tomb entrance. The slab propped up to the right of the entrance sealed the inner chamber.
