An angular cornice decorating a chamber in St. Étienne’s Cave Complex 2 is examined by co-author Barkay. This decoration and double cornices such as the one in Cave Complex 1 (see photograph) closely resemble the cornice on the ceiling of the royal burial cave at Van, in Urartu (modern Turkey).
