An ivory plaque from about 400 A.D. depicts women saints, accompanied by an angel, visiting the tomb of Jesus. The tomb’s domed roof with its knob at the top and its double circular base, as well as the columns and arches supporting the dome, all resemble the Jerusalem ring.
