The Ashlar House. The Jerusalem model displays six match-sized sticks (center), representing the pillars that once supported the roof over the central room of a 40-by-43-feet public building. Part of this area of the model—adjacent to the jagged line that cuts across the model from upper right to lower left—can be dropped down to expose the city’s re-created underground water-supply systems.
