The plundered mosaic of Tyche (see photograph) is, happily, not the only depiction of Tyche from ancient Beth-Shean. The excavators uncovered a marble statue of a woman in the collapsed remains of the large theater’s eastern entrance. The cornucopia slung over her left shoulder identifies the figure as Tyche.
