Yano‘am succumbs. Although unnamed in the reliefs, the besieged citiy in scene 3 is probably Yano‘am. The Merenptah Stele lists Yano‘am as the third of Merenptah’s conquests during his Canaanite campaign. For details of this scene, see drawing.
