Co-director of the Shiqmim excavation, Alon has discovered hundreds of ancient settlement sites in the Negev. Et-Touri, after learning the basics of pottery chronology, discovered a major Chalcolithic village at Abu Hof, near Tell Halif, where Alon and the author have also excavated.
