The so-called Bent Pyramid at Dahshur was modified while under construction, abruptly changing its angle of incline from 54° to 42°. The adjustment apparently paid off, for the Bent Pyramid has the best-preserved limestone facing of all the pyramids. Now off-limits to tourists, the Bent Pyramid probably served as the tomb of Sneferu.
