Pollen from the composite (daisy) family of plants, which includes lettuce, endive, artichokes and chicory (possibly the “bitter herbs” of ancient Passover meals). Like the mint pollen, this pollen was recovered in decayed fecal remains beneath one of the City of David toilets.
