The other side of the Ashkelon theater ticket has a Greek word (Phamoleµs) in the middle, perhaps the name of a prominent local family, the Roman numeral VIII at the top and the Greek letter eta (H, which also has the value of eight) below. The letter and number may designate the section of Ashkelon’s theater reserved for this particular family.
