Fresh finds. Archaeologist William Kennedy proudly displays a perforated three-footed bowl just after excavation at the pillared hall at Tel Hadar. Though such bowls are common at ancient sites in Israel, their purpose is still not known with certainty. Some specialists refer to them as sieves, while others call them incense burners.
