Inside the burial chamber, Abu Hani is surrounded by light-colored stones. Deeply buried until recent excavations exposed them, their surfaces were protected from the light and weathering that made the outer layers of stone gray and blotched with lichens. When the burial chamber was first opened, the disappointed team found that the tomb had been entered in antiquity and robbed of its contents. Later, several beads, blades and arrowheads left behind by the looters were found.
