A third type of jar—bag-shaped (slightly larger at the bottom and narrowing toward the top) with high, straight rims—contained burnt sediment, most likely of wine. With an average capacity of 6.5 gallons, the 300 jars constituted about 2,000 gallons of storage capability, enough to support the theory that the fortress was an administrative center and storage facility.
