As in Biblical times, the Bedouin live a seminomadic life as shepherds and itinerant agriculturalists in the Sinai (seen here), the Jordan Valley, the Golan Heights, the Judean wilderness and the Negev. Archaeologist Pesach Bar-Adon joined the Bedouin as a shepherd for several years during the 1920s.
