The Israelite structure excavated by Bar-Adon at Ein el-Ghuweir was part of an organized complex of settlements in the area during the Iron II period. The site also includes a wall that stretches from Ein el-Ghuweir to the City of Salt in the south and to another nearby Iron Age structure.
