Philistine writing? This stamp seal is one of only two possible known examples of Philistine writing. Both discovered by Moshe Dothan at Ashdod, the examples bear writing that seems similar to Cypro-Minoan script. If that proves correct—neither has been definitively read—they provide further evidence of the Aegean origins of the Sea Peoples.
