This ostracon, or inscribed potsherd, with the letters l and t together, is probably the end of the name Baalpelet, discovered on another ostracon 20 years earlier (see photograph). Whether this ostracon and sherd both refer to the same person, or whether it was simply a popular name remains unknown.
