Like father like son. At Beth-Shean, the Israel Antiquities Authority employs approximately 300 local workers, including this father and son team, shown working in the Roman baths. The father, who immigrated to Beth-Shean from Morocco, works as an excavator, while his son has been trained as a restorer. The poor local economy—Beth-Shean has one of the highest unemployment rates in Israel—has created a large pool of available workers.
