Tight squeeze. Following the way of the ancient hermits, the Muslim inhabitants of modern-day Silwan continue to use the caves as living quarters. Here, members of the Musa family are seen inside their home (tomb 27). The main part of the tomb serves as the living room, with the smaller chamber at the back (which contained the burial niche) serving as the kitchen.
