The vast temple complex at Medinet Habu contributes to the accumulating evidence that the Bible’s Exodus itinerary includes accurate details. Here Ramesses III (c. 1182–1151 B.C.E.) had carved in his mortuary temple an earlier topographic list from Karnak. Because the original list has not survived intact, the Medinet Habu version fills in important gaps in the Karnak list.
