An athlete appears to push against the border of this kylix, or flat wine cup with handles, found at the base of the Pozo Moro monument. Identified as the work of the “Pithos Painter,” a Greek artist known for his paintings on large, wide-mouthed vessels called pithoi, the clay cup helps date the structure to about 500 B.C.E.
