A labyrinth of walls from the lower city (Area C) showcases the site’s ubiquitous mudbrick architecture. The walls seen here actually belong to two building phases: The walls closer to the surface are remnants of structures from the late tenth to mid-ninth century B.C.E. Beneath them can be seen the lines of earlier tenth-century B.C.E. walls.
