This unusual figurine of a woman with vegetable-fiber hair comes from upper Egypt and dates to the 17th Dynasty (1650–1550 B.C.E.). The emphasis on the breasts and the pubic area suggests that this was a fertility figurine, but, as with all the objects in the exhibit, its exact use is simply not known.
