Brushing away the dirt of centuries, student volunteers uncover the outer podium of the temple structure at Omrit. Made of blocks of white limestone, this podium supported the later, larger temple at Omrit, which dates to the late first or early second century C.E. The Herodian temple stood on a smaller inner podium.
