In Toronto last November, Lord Allenby chaired the SBL session on the Megiddo structures. He is the great-nephew of the first Viscount Allenby of Megiddo (shown here), who in December 1917 entered Jerusalem on foot through the Jaffa Gate after the defeat of the Turks.
