Excavating at Salamis in Cyprus, 1952–1974
Author Barkay believes the key to identifying the Jerusalem mounds can be found in Cyprus. This photo is an impressive artificial mound at Salamis, called tumulus 77 by its excavator, the eminent Cypriot scholar Vassos Karageorghis.
