Also discovered in Building 2072 was another Philistine object, an anchor seal. The Philistine character of Stratum VI at Megiddo links it to the site of Ekron in southern Canaan, whose Building 350 has a plan akin to that of Building 2072, and has yielded similar finds. If Building 350 at Ekron dates to the 11th century B.C.E., as archaeologists believe, then Building 2072 and the rest of Megiddo Stratum VI would also belong to Iron Age I (1200–1000 B.C.E.).
