BLESS THIS HOUSE. The decorated stone block above was one of three building blocks that established Deir ‘Ain ‘Abata’s link to early Christian traditions about Lot. All three were inscribed in Greek and asked Lot to bless various people, presumably monks who lived at the site’s monastery.
