Tombs found at Tel Halif were typical of Iron Age II. Accessible through a narrow opening that could easily be blocked, the tombs featured a large room with burial benches upon which bodies were placed. Repositories in the corners suggest that the locals pushed bones from the benches into them when the bench space was needed for successive burials.
